Below you’ll learn of the dates and special guests scheduled for the 2020 season.

January 7

January 7, 2020 @ 6:00 pm, Beth Mann will be the guest speaker. The meeting will be held at the DJ Everett III Radio Room at WKDZ

February 4

Jim Wallace will be the guest speaker at the February meeting of the Trigg County Historical Society with the second installment of the monthly history lecture series. Jim Wallace, retired Trigg County School administrator and County Historian, will speak on the History of Trigg County Schools and the Cumberland Literary Society (circa 1905).

March 3

The Trigg County Historical Society will host a monthly lecture at their regular meeting each month celebrating Trigg County’s bicentennial. March’s lecture will be by Rick Gregory, Ph.D. of Adams, TN. His topic will be Nightriders and the Tobacco Industry. Each meeting will be held in the newly rebuilt Trigg County History Museum (old Masonic building) on Jefferson Street behind the justice center.

April 7

Trigg County native Dan Thomas will present the program for the month of April for the Historical Society’s Lecture Series. The topic will be The Office of Sheriff and Trigg County. As many may know Dan’s father, Luther Thomas, was once the Sheriff of Trigg County. Dan has been researching Trigg County Sheriffs for several years. Everyone is invited to attend – admission is free. You are also invited to become a member of the historical society. Each meeting will be held in the newly rebuilt the Trigg County History Museum (old Masonic building) on Jefferson Street behind the justice center.

May 5

Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court John D. Minton, Jr. will be our speaker at the May meeting. His family comes from Trigg County and he is very interested in our community. The meeting will be in the newly renovated Trigg County Museum. Everyone welcome!
